The powder here is legendary and perfect for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling. Numerous ski areas are in the immediate vicinity boasting the best conditions in the world. You can ski a different Ski Salt Lake resort every day for the best price and the most snow possible.
The list of statistics and conditions is impressive: altitude of 11,000 feet, an average temperature between 20 and 25 degrees F., the location of Alta and Snowbird, snowfalls of 500 to 550 inches of the precious white stuff, the low humidity due to the nearby Nevada desert and the long ski season from mid-November to mid-June.
